Daniel listened to what Maika had to say, even though it just led to more questions buzzing in his mind. Weren't demons usually associated with evil? What were Cirens? And what the heck happened to his pebble, anyway? He calmed down when she started stroking his hair, though. It made him think of waves lapping against a sandy beach, even though he'd never really been to a beach before...
"Daniel...would you have any clothes that I could wear?"He glanced at her, and Daniel found himself staring at her body for an awkwardly longer time than necessary. His face went bright red as he mumbled an apology and reluctantly walked across the room to his wardrobe, propping a chair against the door along the way. He selected a few items of clothing, including a blue t-shirt and jeans, and then he sat down next to Maika, giving her the clothes.
"Erm... I think you should tell me all of what's going on, and why. And I mean
all of it. Please?" He kept his eyes on her, as if he was afraid she'd suddenly disappear into thin air. After a few minutes, he added "Also, just so I can be certain that this isn't a dream, do you think you could you prove me wrong?"
