Helping the boy to the bench, Melanie saw the blood on his forehead. Quickly, she reassured him, "Don't worry, head wounds bleed excessively, we just need to stop the bleeding. I'm lucky I have all my stuff with me, Melanie thought, pulling an old tshirt out of her suitcase. "This should do it" she said ripping off strips of the tshirt. "Put these to your head, and it should stop the bleeding until we can get you medical attention." she said, gently handing over the shirt strips. She eyed the boy carefully, making sure that she wasn't making him do any more than he had to. I bet Derek would laugh if he saw this, Melanie thought, feeling suddenly angry.
