As Nia walked, she could hear someone who was rapping, or at least trying to, from what seemed a far distance away, or he was doing it to the point of where he was just regularly speaking; either way, it was one of the worst rapping she had ever heard and it was starting to annoy her a little bit. Her eyes looked around before she turned the corner and walked into her house. "Mom, I got the milk." She said as she placed it onto the table to take off her shoes; her house didn't have air conditioner, so the open window and door was their only acceptance to air out the house. She walked towards her mom as her mom was watching TV. She then changed her rout and put the milk in the fridge; she looked at her mom and walked over towards the door again. "Im going to water the flowers, kay?" She said walking out on her mother's nod; she walked towards the back area of their house and unraveled the hose to turn it one. Once that was done, she pressed her thumb up against it to make it spray out.

She saw her mother come to the door and leaned on the door way. "Why don't you come in? Its not safe you know..." Her mother, said, yawning; it was obviously a tiring day for her and her mother's eyes where already puffy and red from the crying. Nia smiled at her and nodded. "I will, promise. Let me finish up some of the yard work before I go in. I don't want our front yard to be ugly for my birthday..." She smiled and laugh as if it was a joke. Her mom smiled a soothing mother smile. "Alright. I love you." She said, walking back inside and upstairs to her bed. Nia just smiled like an idiot before replaying that story over again in her head, having no idea that someone was reading her thoughts. Creepy.
