Lyla never took well to being yelled at, especially by a vampire that thought she was better than every one else. Beth always tried to play the good guy or the mother. In fact, everyone hated it. It was her protectiveness that was tearing everyone in the house hold apart.

"I would prefer it if you don't reminiscice with those of his kind, especially when there seems to be something serious to reminisce about." She walked very close to Lyla, which she knew annoyed her because of the lack of her personal space.
"And I'll remind you, which I constantly do and you constantly ignore. Stay away from him and his kind. They are bad news."

She stood her ground and raising one eyebrow unimpressed by her peacocking around trying to be the toughest in the house which was obviously not the case. Lyla was a humble werewolf. She could take down any vampire any time, but no one actually knew that. They simply saw a girl, small in stature, leading the wolves. That was all.

When Beth returned home she would tell her how it was. Everyday Beth seemed to make Lyla want to turn her pack to Sebastion's side. Sure, she did not agree with his feeding methods, but being with him was one hundred times better than seeing the snake eyed girl every day. If it was possible for Beth to constantly PMS (which is impossible for a number of reasons) then she would have an excuse.
