Karl watched the students file into lunch hall. As they sat down he took his normal seat far to the back of the room not near the tournament students even though he was one and not near the normal other students. He thought about the tournament last year, he had made it to the top 4 contestants but dropped out at the beginning of the second last match because he had gotten bored of the fight. He had been given hell for giving up by a lot of the teachers but after a while they had forgiven him. Suddenly Derek sent Basil flying across the hall. Karl snapped to attention they shouldn't be fighting here. He grabbed a glove from his back and pulled it on his hand as he began to move it had miles and miles of a very thin specially made iron thread that was kept in spools attached to the knuckles at each end was a pointed weight. He and his father had made it for fighting. He detached one of the threads and spun its weighted side around. As the fight between Derek and Basil escalated he threw the weight towards Derek’s legs it missed but began to move around wrapping itself around his leg tightly but not enough that he would notice. He smiled he had gotten it to move by making the weight the same charge as the thread this would cause the thread to repel the thread but since they were attached by a thin neutrally charged plastic thread. The head would pull the thread with it this gave him the ability move his thread around. He did the same with another thread to Basil's foot. He sent an electrical charge through the threads to both of them. It wouldn't kill them but the continuous charge would paralyze them till he stopped the current. As the stood there stopped he smiled and called "You two shouldn't fight here."

David nodded what the hell he thought as he followed her inside the castle. David’s mouth began to water as he looked over the food that was going to be served. It wasn't that special but it was a lot better than what he normally ate. He grabbed some and went to go find a table he noticed another freshman he had seen yesterday and Jason he began to make his way over to join them since he might as well as try to get to know them. Before he could get there a Prefect Derek Leer he believed shot another Prefect across the hall. He gasped suddenly Jason ran by him and slammed his flaming fist into Derek's head. Derek responded by sending Jason across the room. David watched in awe as Derek and the other student began to fight. He began to feel excited he wasn't blood thirsty but he loved the skill involved in fighting, magic would add a whole new twist to a fight. He really wanted to fight in the tournaments but first he would have to learn how to use his powers and get back to his physical peak. He wondered what he should do to stop the situation from getting out of control in a lunch room. Sudden they stopped paralyzed and a student called out, "You two shouldn't fight here." David laughed and smiled as he turned back to the table and asked "Can i sit here?"
