Melanie sat down, happy to see her friend again. He had disappeared after the assembly and hadn't replied to her text, so she had worried about him a bit. But now that they were at lunch everything seemed fine. <b>"So, how was your classes so far?"</b>, Jason asked. Right as Melanie was going to tell him about her first lesson with moving the paper clip and feeling her power for the first time, a loud noise erupted throughout the cafeteria. A fight was breaking out and Jason, uttering a quick <b>"I'll be right back"</b> ran into the fight with flaming fists. She hadn't even been here a day and it already felt like this school was a lot more trouble than it seemed. And she started to feel uncomfortable, seeing as two of the fighting teens were prefects. She wanted to know that she was safe in the school and seeing Derek acting like a maniac in front of students and eventually teachers even with his prefect status didn't sound so warm and fuzzy.


Renee watched the fight reproachfully, wanting nothing to do with the noisy disturbance. Just as teachers were slipping in, she slipped out unnoticed. As she started walking down the hallways, she spotted two teens, the Zoey girl she had met the night before, and a new stranger. She walked up to the pair, and pronounced her presence by saying, "If you were looking to grab some lunch, you might want to wait there was just a huge fight. Unless you like that sort of thing." she waited for their response, because whatever their answer would base her judgement on whether she wanted to stay or go. Anyone who wanted to stick around for a stupid fight like that was worthless in her eyes. She knew better than anybody that using your power had both beautiful and powerful consequences. That is a lesson learned through fire elemental magic. The flames are beautiful but out of control too quickly to even fathom. And fighting was in the same category.
