Layla looked around the room full of people, bouncing her pumps nervously. They didn't look like they had problems. Only if you looked really close, could you tell that the slightest thing might be wrong with them. It seemed as if she was the only person who tried to dress up for their first meeting. She coughed quietly, embarrassed, before looking down at the white fabric of her short pencil skirt. Of course she had tried to go over the top. Now, she just looked like an idiot. Sitting in a room full of people, all of them wearing casual clothes, while she was trying to be Miss America. She placed her hands underneath her chin, rested her elbows on her knee, and placed her head in her hand, waiting for the rehab coach to walk in.

As soon as he did, Layla's head snapped up. It was the same guy that had invited her into the room. She moved her hands from underneath her chin, and uncrossed her legs, smoothing out her skirt. Why was she so jittery? She usually was never like this. Always being the calm and collected type. Well, then again, this was her first day and official meeting here in Spencer Recovery Center. She looked around the brightly colored room, before her eyes settled back on the coach. This man could help her overcome her addiction. She watched as he took a seat and smiled at everyone around the room, before folding his hands in his lap and leaning forward to look at each one of them. Layla gulped deeply.

"I'm Doctor Bryan. This place can be a waste of your time, or the thing that saves you. I'm going to do everything in my power to help each and every one of you to be the person you're striving for. No one's forcing you to be here. This is your choice. Your last chance at helping yourself, and those around you. Now, I want everyone to look around the room at the people surrounding you. Go on." The coach said. Layla quickly glanced at each one of the people in the room, before her eyes settled back on the coach.

"These people might be the helping hand you need to get back on track, also. I don't want any fights or problems. Now that we've gotten past that, I want each of you to announce your addiction or problem. In front of everyone. This will be the first step to recovery. Publicly admitting your addiction." He said. He one again looked at each person in the room, before his eyes settled on Layla. She took a deep breath, dreading the words she knew he would say next.

"You. Why don't you go first? And also, please say your name to everyone before you admit your problem." He said with a gentle smile. Layla's heart felt hollow. But she sat up straighter and cleared her throat, looking at everyone in the room before smiling at them quickly, nervously pushing her hair back from her face only to have it fall back over her left eye.

"Hi," She said quickly, in a breathly way. "I'm Layla Marx. And...I do have an addiction." Layla said slowly, not wanting to admit it. Her cheeks were flaming red. She looked at Doctor Bryan for conformation, before he nodded for her to keep going. She nodded also, looking down at her lap as she finished her statement.

"I'm addicted to...to...um, sex." Layla said quickly, before blushing even deeper and staring at her lap. Her head and heart were pounding with embarrassment. She already knew what most people in the room already thought of her.

"Thank you for sharing Layla. Next?" Doctor Bryan asked, this time offering a volunteer to go. "Someone speak now, or I'll choose again." Layla let out a thick breath of air that she had been holding it. It smelled like the spearmint gum she was chewing.
