Riley continued to walk about in the slums, she waked with Indian steps, one foot straight in front of the other instead of two separate lines. Soon she heard the same steps that Patrick had. She slowed her steps and then slowly stopped and crouched behind an old mattress someone had thrown out. Her eyes were squeezed tight and her fists were clenched. As the sounds descended she slowly got up and began to advance her pace. Now at a fairly steady 'fast walk' she heard a crash or explosion. Her body tensed and she picked up a full run, every stride longer than the one before. Soon she found herself at a building with the roof caved in. She raised an eyebrow and cocked her head to the left and peered through the open window. There was multiply vices all around and a boy that seemed to have fallen from the sky. Puzzled, she tried to enter as carefully and quietly as possible, not to disrupt anyone. After all, Riley was sure that most of these other vices were just as puzzled as she was.

Her personal mission of being quiet and careful came to an abrupt end as she lost her balance and she began to tumble inside. Luckily, she caught herself from a complete fall, she had grabbed the window pane and stopped herself, but not before someone noticed. Her eyes looked up in the most innocent looking way and then she looked back to the ground and quietly stood up and blended into the rest of the group, well as well as she could. Riley then let herself almost melt in with the rest of them and looked back at the boy. At unease, she played with her hands behind her back and muttered a quick 'Uhh.. Hi..' to anyone that glanced at her. Hey, she still had to stay as friendly as possible, she didn't even know if these people, or vices, were going to be friendly back or simply rude and throw her out or worse, beat her.
