Who cares if he's lying, they won't know that unless they stayed for at least a week. What were the odds of that?

A barrage of question 'outta cover up his true nature. He could bury himself under layers of lies so then it would be harder to get to the center of who he was. Much like an egg, a hard shell filled with a liquid middle that will lose most attempts to get to the yolk.
