Hayden was taking a wonderful nap. The world around him was quiet and peaceful. He didn’t mind staying like this forever… but that was too good to be true. "Hayden!" At the sound of the familiar voice, Hayden’s eyes snapped open almost immediately. He appeared in front of Kirby, staring blankly at her. For a second, he wondered what she needed from him. There was definitely no danger around and it seemed as though she didn’t need him at the moment. Why couldn’t she just let him sleep for a minute or two longer? “What do you wa—“ he started to ask before stopping himself as the realization hit him.
Oh right… they were supposed to go kill off those Ancients or something like that. This sort of job didn’t suit him well. He was never the one to enjoy killing, let alone fighting. However, this was something that must be done. Would it be difficult? Most likely. But is it impossible? No… maybe… hopefully. Hayden quietly followed behind Kirby, stopping just a few feet away from her as she approached two other angels. The summoning leaned against the nearest tree, his eyes staring off into the distance.
Hayden had his usual look on his face, in which most people would describe as ‘bored’ or ‘dull’. At first, he wasn’t so sure that a bright person such as Kirby was a good match for such a blunt guy like him. Fortunately, the two got along fairly well and he liked seeing how cheerful Kirby always was… and still is. He yawned tiredly and looked up at the sky, watching as the clouds passed by.
