Seryth
Inside the ruins of what once was a magnificent chapel a small, black cat walked soundlessly around the rooms. Most people wouldn't have been able to tell it was actually an Ancient unless they knew of Seryth's abilities. It's black eyes were a dead giveaway but not many knew to look for them. Surely if they did so many of them wouldn't have died for innocently letting it into their homes. Seryth had no reason to kill, other than purely for it's own entertainment. It did tend to get boring at times, waiting around until the identities of the next angels and their precious summonings were known. Poor Seryth had nearly died of boredom waiting, but now it knew who they were, it could do everything in it's power to take theirs away from them. Oh how he craved the strength the gems gave. "Foolish humans, entrusting the future in the hands of mere children."
The cat's form shifted into a much taller, human female. Seryth liked to be addressed as a he in it's male form, and rightfully, a she whenever it took on the appearance of a woman. Her silky black hair cascaded down over her shoulders and swished against her back as she walked. "Why? Why do they get to possess such power, they hardly deserve it." She spat coldly before taking a seat on a gold polished chair that looked completely out of place in the ruins. "It should all belong to me." She propped her chin up against a tightly closed fist, her head turned sharply to the right. In the next moment she looked to the left and her body changed again, this time into her male form. His blue eyes stared longingly off into the distance.
"All of the great things I could do with that power." He spoke in a deeper voice to no one in particular. Often Seryth talked to himself unless the others were present, which they currently were not. By great things, really Seryth meant the destruction of civilization as the humans knew it. He would destroy everything, save for the select humans he kept around to make his slaves. That was all he ever wanted, was to be in control of everyone else and to take away their hope and crush it. Centuries seemed to pass and still he hadn't succeeded in his plan of taking over the world. This time around though, he swore things would be different.
"Soon we'll be paying them a friendly visit." Seryth giggled like a little child, once again taking on the form of a pale female.
