"Something's not right here. I've heard of fresh hunters being attacked non stop by demons, but we've only seen two. I've seen more of the things in less then an hour..." Jaden nodded his head when Alex said this and replied "Who knows, maybe we're just too scary for the demons to handle." Alex got up and walked outside, Jaden figured he was going to get his guns from where he hid them. The next thing he heard was the voice of Krissy's father talking to Alex about bringing guns into the house. Jaden heard Alex say that the two of them are working for the Sheriff's department then saw the badge slide down the hallway. Jaden stood up, walked to the doorway, quickly picked up the badge so he wouldn't be seen doing it, and walked out to where Alex and the dad were standing. "Now, you may be wondering why we need all these guns to protect an 18 year old girl." Jaden forgot to take off his knife sheath before he walked into the hallway but it probably didn't really matter now. "Alex and I are in a special operations kind of section of the department. We deal with undercover stuff and jobs that the normal cop isn't trained enough to do. All this is really a part of our standard equipment so we pretty much have to have it with us in some way. And there have also been a good amount of kidnappings that deal with gangs, whom I presume are packing guns themselves."
