Coco taps her fingernails against the armrest of her chair, crossing and uncrossing her legs restlessly; nervousness is not a feeling she's accustomed to. It's her first day at Lord Griffin's, and she'd hoped to see Akira - she'd known him for a few years and he'd been the one to persuade her to attend the university - but he's nowhere in sight.

A secretary had told her to wait in the entrance hall while he fetched her mother, Aphrodite. Coco has never met her mother, and her father had only known the Goddess briefly, so she'd never even seen a photograph. Akira had told her that she may have siblings at Lord Griffin's, other Demigod daughters of Aphrodite, and she's not sure how she feels about that; she's used to being an only child and the centre of attention.
