Pokémon Center
Lex Silver
As Nurse Joy continued talking, she mentioned that they had free rooms and trainers like him could use them. The offer sounded good and he considered it for a moment, but what she said next derailed any thoughts of delaying his adventure any longer. She explained that some ruffians have been harassing trainers, just outside the city. It was recommended that he train a bit more before going that way, apparently they were strong and responsible for putting a few Pokémon in critical condition.
“Thanks for the information, Nurse Joy, see ya around.” Silver smiled and then retreated to his table.
Silver was alone with his thoughts for only a short moment before he noticed a friend, Daphne Hawthorne. Through his locks of silver hair, his electric blue eyes locked with hers. She gestured for them to meet-up outside and he nodded his head in compliance. In that moment, he wondered if she had overheard his and Nurse Joy's conversation. Daphne wasn't the nosy type or a loudmouth, so he wasn't exactly bothered if she had. Plus she was one of the few friends he had managed to make in this town. Everyone else was too busy judging him, turning their nose up at him because they thought he was looking down his at them. This was due to his privileged background, which caused them to think he was a spoiled rich kid. Daphne was the only one who treated him like a normal person. Whether that was because she was too lazy to care or because she actually understood him, he didn't know nor did he care. All he knew is they had been good friends since the day they met.
Leaving the table he followed he followed his friend outside. As soon as they were alone, she began talking. Discussing the secret Nurse Joy divulged to him, no small talk involved. “Straight to the point as usual, that was Daphne alright.” Silver laughed to himself. But, she was speaking as if it was their duty to stop them, which made him get serious. Who knows though, maybe it was. It definitely wasn't what Silver had in mind when he set out on this journey, but it would due. Perhaps, there was more to it, they could be hiding something... it was worth checking it out, at least.
The plan seemed to be, that they would buff up their Pokémon a bit and then go check out these mysterious bullies. Silver just nodded and followed behind her, he was in complete agreement. No sooner than the two left The Center, they had arrived at the gym. It wasn't at all what Silver expected, pretty ordinary actually, no flashy lights or extravagant decor, and void of a massive gathering. Three people in all, arranged in a hierarchy. Silver assumed he would have to get passed the first two, in order to challenge the gym leader. Daphne moved quick, already challenging a young boy, which left the other trainer to him.
“Wanna battle?” Silver said casually as he approached the remaining trainer.
