Niel gave his winningest smile to the barmaid as he leaned against the counter. "Come on, you don't have to be shy" he said to her in his plains accent. Niel thought sarcasticly to himself that this was probably the only time when his accent was good for him. He had grown up on the plains and had a strange accent to show for it. Often he sound he got strange looks when he travelled around due to that, and people tended to shy away. Well, to be honest, he couldn't really blane them. He did have a plains accent but it wasn't exactly standard fare, he had bits and pieces of the desert, and more than a touch of the scholarly tongue of Lor, born from his learning to talk listening to any and all who passed through his mother's inn.

He wondered how she was doing. Not that she couldn't fend for herself, she was a strong woman, and you didn't dare tell her otherwise. And really she needed to be, running an inn pretty tailored to the mercenary trade on the route between Lor, the desert and the heart of the Remington plains. If she appeared like some soft old lady nobody would bother to listen to her... And god knew he listened to her.

Turning his thoughts back to the task at hand he looked back at the pretty girl across the counter from him. "Come on, it's not like your mother is here" he added pleadingly, in stark contrast to his smile. "For your favorite customer?" he asked holding up his mug.

She glared at him and after his last comment slapped away his raised mug. He let the pewter container fly fom his hand and skid across the floor a ways, watching as it spun helplessly on the floor, spilling out the last few drops that had been left in it. He sighed, and walked over to the mug and picked it up, ignoring the stares that now followed him. He placed the mug back on the bar and smirked at the girl, "You ought to be pyro, girl, a simple 'no' would suffice. It's not the first time I've been refused a free drink." And at least she had the presence of mind to blush slightly. Too bad she was such a hothead, she was a good looking lass too.

He turned from her still smirking slightly as the tavern went back to it's usual clamour. And he found Artur sitting where he left him, still at his table in the tavern, talking with... someone. Huh, he hadn't been with the Red Wolves long, only about a month and a half, but he had never met this guy. Niel wondered to himself who he was. Well, one way to find out.

Neil walked up to the pair and moved two fingers up to his forehead and down in an almost half salute in greeting to Artur as he approached. "Hey." he said to Artur "Any news?"
