Devin had hastily stored her things away in the compartment on the side of the train which was where the luggage was to go. She always had this feeling her belongings would get lost, someone would steal them, something absolutely "crazy" like that. Her mother, the most embarrassing woman on earth, had wrote her name on the handle of both her leather suitcases in neat, elegant gold scripture, her full name. Having dismissed this with a simple hand wave Devin held the carrier which contained her calico cat, Cosmo, in one hand waving at both her parents with the other. Those parents of her's were Evangeline and Darrel Thompson, two exceptional wizards that were never in the light of glory. No one ever knowledged them, even if they were brilliant.

After having waved Devin quickly scurried onto the train and went down the aisle, slipping into a compartment which one other person was already in. She sat her carrier down in the seat opposite of that person, then walked over to the window. She spotted her parents and pressed her face against the glass gently, crossing her eyes to make a "silly face" before laughing. Grinning as both her parents laughed Dev quirked a brow when her father mouthed 'Be good..' He was so strict sometimes. With a curt nod before an eye roll she turned and sat down in the seat beside the carrier, Cosmo pawing at the metal, he wanted out. The boy which was in the seat across from her chuckled.

"What's so funny?" Devin asked, crossing her arms lightly as she eyed him. He had this cocky grin splattered across his face as he leaned back.

"Oh nothing, I just think you act rather dorky." the boy replied, laughing once more as he himself gazed out the window. Dev narrowed her eyes, slim hands balling into small fists. This would be a long train ride to Hogwarts.
