Nicholas listened to the girl carefully, taking note of the important things she said. The information's reliability could be debatable, but as far as he was concerned she had proven herself as a competent user of healing magic. Having never been able to fully master healing spells, he couldn't help but feel just a little bit jealous. Nodding in approval of her demonstration, he was about to say something, but the girl had beaten him to it.

“So, does that mean I’m in? I’m a good little helper, right? Great for adventuring. You should totally take me. Please? Pretty please?”

That last sentence went right through the 'tough guy' pretence Nicholas had successfully managed to maintain since a few months after he had started his own adventures, although he preferred to think of it as an 'everlasting quest for knowledge'. "Well, you have my vote, girl. It'll be good to have a dedicated healer with us, wouldn't you agree, Artur?" As his new employer gave their verdict, Nicholas switched his gaze back to the healer. "If you'd like, maybe we could both demonstrate our spells on that so-called 'pervert' of yours, hmm?" Chuckling a little to show that he was merely joking, he awaited Artur's decision.
