I sighed as I crawled out of bed. My light purple hair fell across my face before I could comb through it. I quickly ran a brush through it three or four times before pulling a small amount into a pink bow at the side of my head. In the closet, I ran my fingers along the selection of clothes I had, and picked out a simple pink shirt that came out to my elbows, then matched it with a pair of jeans. True, it wasn't the nicest outfit for my first day, but it was clothes just the same. Soon, I was fallowing the scent of eggs and bacon down to the kitchen, where mom kissed my forehead before I grabbed my things and went out the door. The bacon I took was in my stomach by the time I reached the end of our lawn. I closed my eyes. "Lorisa entano" I whispered, opening my eyes to see the blades of grass just in front of my nose. My paws carried me the distance to school, which was surprisingly not too far away. I stopped behing a tree, where I muttered "Entano diaronel" And became a human again. "I hate being a squirrel," I said, under my breath as I made my way into the castle-like structure that they called high school. It was dark, and seemed sad. I didn't want to go here, but it was the only place where I could.
