Ryan ran a steady pace a little ways behind Marcus. Heading to the property every morning was always his favorite part of the day. He slowed as the backyard came into sight, and felt an inward smile growing. Fae was sound asleep against the soft grass, and with the sun shining down on her she looked like an angel to him. Catching familiar scents in the air, he watched as the other two sisters came into the sunlit backyard. Though his wolf's emotions were different from his regular ones, he felt happy.

Ryan laid down on the grass, scooting as close as he could to Fae's sleeping figure. The grass felt cool against his fur, but also wet from morning dew. He whined, wishing she would wake up. Ryan enjoyed her company. He took Marcus's lead and gently pressed his nose against her neck and nudged gently. Wake up, wake up, he willed. He watched a small smile spread across her face, as if she were dreaming. A new scent filled his nose, and he looked up to see Lullaby eating some kind of sandwich. He stood up from his spot near Fae, and trotted over to where Lullaby sat. Inching closer to smell the sandwich, he barked once playfully as if to ask if he could have a bite. Ryan wondered if she'd understand the hint.
