Song managed to follow the creature, though barely. Somehow, the imp seemed to know where it was going, while she kept bumping into trees and branching with no sense of direction. At this moment, she was glad her speed and agility made up for her lack of strength. She almost lost the thing two times, but on both occasions she had been able to glimpse the wings of the imp. While running, she tried to figure out how to capture the thing. She wasn’t so sure anymore if the poisoned bunny feet would work, as food clearly wasn’t the priority of that little devil anymore. After a while, she noticed something. Or to put it in a better way, she smelled something. At first, Song thought it was garlic, but the scent was too strong for that. It smelled more like... rotten eggs? That’s most likely... sulphur. Why was she smelling sulphur? To Song, it didn’t really make sense.

Suddenly, she heard a horrific cry, not that far away from her. It made all the hairs on her body stand up. Song knew it couldn’t have been human, but she had never expected an imp to make such noise. Without warning, the imp changed direction. Almost missing it, Song bumped into another tree. She cursed once again at her own stupidity, “Ching-wah tsao duh liou mahng.” After turning around for a bit, she headed for the direction she thought the imp had gone off to. For a couple of minutes, she was unsure if she was still on the right path, but then she came into a path of devastation. All the trees had been uprooted and smashed to the ground, the earth was broken and everything was hot or even still burning. She also smelled something worse than sulphur, though she had no clue what it was. Seeing as she had no other way to find the imp back, she followed the trail, dreading what she could find. Something told her this wasn’t just the work of an imp. Was this a set-up by the organization?

She then saw it and out of pure astonishment she blabbered: “That’s no imp!” She was standing behind the monster, but she could still see the thick black hair covering its body, the lower part of a goat and the horns on its head. But most of all, it was big. She had heard that some of the monsters were big, but all the talk and all the textbooks couldn’t prepare a person for something this big. For a moment, Song just stood there like a deer in the headlights. She then reached for a tube in her pouch and quickly sprayed the entire contents on her body. She hated this particular potion, as it made her stink like hell (well, wasn’t that ironic), but it completely covered her human scent. Contemplating what she should do next, as she had also noticed how a bunch of imps were near the monster, she could just see another human in the distance.
