As Ferma continued to speak down to the small mage, Bianca’s face began to contort into a frown, which further morphed into a pout. What was this girl’s problem? She was just trying to do as Artur said and be the bigger girl. She might’ve at least had that, but at what cost? Her dignity, her ability, her cuteness, and even her ‘talents’ were being called into question at every step. Not only that, but it seemed Ferma had began using the nickname ‘Bibi’, and while she didn’t get the similarity it had to 'baby', it still infuriated her to no end. How dare she mock the amazing pretty princess Bianca and her numerous traits! What nerve to call her such a rude nickname to her face! If only Artur wasn’t around. She’d whack this girl right upside her head if she wasn’t obligated to behave...
“Hmph. I see that you a ne’er-do-well simpleton like you knows nothing but throwing around petty insults and rude remarks. How disgusting.” She turned up her nose and crossed her arms. “I rescind my apology. Clearly a barbaric, boorish, and uncouth girl such as yourself doesn’t deserve one. And plus, you didn’t say no takesies-backsies.” She turned and stuck out her tongue mockingly just before she ran back behind their guide and over to Artur and company. Though, not before turning and saying, “And I can already tell you that no matter what you say, the cuter one is still me!”
Surprisingly, for the rest of the trip to town, Bianca remained surprisingly silent, keeping to herself mostly. While it might’ve been a little difficult to tell, a few of Ferma’s insults really got to her. The washboard comment was one, but in particular, in her mind, one sentence continued to play over and over...
"It's a dog eat dog world, I honestly don't think you have the stuff to make it in this business if you're trying to get all cute and apologise."
She knew the phrase somewhat, since she’d heard it a few times in her life, but she barely knew what it meant. However, she easily insinuated it’s meaning from the rest of the statement. Not going to make it? But she had great healing abilities, her supreme cuteness, and all these talented folks around her to protect her. What made Ferma so confident that Bianca was destined to fail in her quest for adventure? She barely even knew her. The little magical girl pondered this thought for the majority of the trip...
Once in town, the group met up with the rest of the mercenaries in their group, which consisted of Neil, that Will guy, and some other woman Bianca didn’t know. She gave the woman a hard look as Artur doled out his orders, and an even harder look after Artur left to interrogate whoever that prisoner was. She wasn’t quite sure why that was important, but there were more pressing matters to attend to. Bianca walked right up to the woman and tugged on her short skirt to get her attention.
“Heeeeey. I know that guy, and that guy, and that guy over there...” Each time she pointed to Neil, Nick, and Will, “...But I’ve never seen you before. Who are you? Are you a part of this group? Everyone seems to be looking at you like they know you, so I’d guess yes, but I dunno you. But it’d be nice to have another girl on the team. Well, one that doesn’t hate me, like that mean one over there.” She leaned in close whispered that last sentence, subtly pointing at Ferma.
