Niel thought for a bit, wording things in his mind. "Nah, there's nothing wrong with being a hero. Only, dyin' in the process. Dying accomplishes nothing for anyone around, blood cannot be put back into the body. That said, there are those out there that are deservin' to die."

"About bein' a hero... Not fer me. Someday, I'll just get old and retire and be able to tell my war stories, tell jokes. But no, dying a hero's death, or even being a hero, lost it's glamour long ago to me."

Niel stopped and continued thinking. He knew this was rather out of character for him, but he was sober right now and, had to say, was kinda nice laying here talking to Artea. Soon though, he looked down as a rather large group came in... led by Artur. So they were back, or had arrived, where in bloody seven hells had they gone anyway? Niel stood up as Bianca made her way over, apparently eager to break away from the group. He listened in on a few words she said to Artea and then yanked his lance out of the ground and walked up to the group. "Hey there commander. Where where ya, I was just thinking about going back to go to the inn to see if you had gotten... sidetracked let's say."

Then Niel looked over the group and raised an eyebrow noticing three new people. "What, did you put signs out on the road too?" he joked "We seem to be three stronger than we were at the tavern..." then he added smiling, reverting right back to his old self "And two women too, which is always nice."
