Kain woke up in the forest just outside town. He opened his eyes looking around him at the scenery, a beautiful lake sparkled in the sun, and birds singing in the trees as he did so.

He looked at the sun to figure out what time it was. He noticed the bakery soon would close. Hurrying, he rushed over to the bakery to get breakfast. On the way there, he saw a man in a black cloak, a woman next to him, standing outside the tavern.

He looked at the woman, taking in her ears, tail, and her eyes. He then noticed that both of them had something shining from the inside of their cloaks. The Lock and Key, perhaps? He turned and hid in between the two buildings a slight ways away from them, watching the scene unfold. He knew what people thought of Demonics in this town. He wasn't about to let them get slaughtered. Not while he could help it.
