"Great" Koda said, keeping his tone short. He didn't trust these people. Not only had they once been under Cray's infleunce but obviously they had forced Oren to come here somehow. He knew she hadn't been too fond of her coven in Springside, but Koda couldn't imagine her actually leaving them. She was the one who looked after all those immature vampires. She loved them secretly he speculated, and he couldn't imagine her abandoning them. Something was up.

"Now if you'll excuse us ...." he trailed off, taking Midnight's hand and slowly leading her down the hall, once he could no longer hear their breathing and was sure they couldn't hear his voice he said "We need to keep an eye on them" he told her quietly. When he reached his door he went inside, locking the door behind them. "But we'll worry about that later" he said, kissing her briefly. "You and I haven't been spending enough time alone together lately after all" he purred lowly, nuzzling her neck and pausing to kiss it in between words. "And I think that that is a more pressing matter."
