Darcy woke up to the smell of pizza, which wasn't uncommon, since she lived above a pizza parlor. She had moved to the apartment to get away from her family, and it work. She hadn't seen them in four months now. She slid out of bed, and looked in the mirror, her hair was a little messy, so she brushed it. She then got dressed, in a dark blue t-shirt, and black skinny jeans. She slipped on her sneakers, and walked downstairs. The people in the pizza shop all waved and said good morning, as always, she smiled shyly. They probably wondered why she was so quiet. Darcy took her mail, then walked back upstairs. Her home was mostly empty, she lived alone, and didn't really have friends to come over. She didn't have much social skills either, so she didn't get out much. She sat on a cheap couch, in front of a tv, and looked through the mail. Bills, bills, ads, and then came the letter. It looked unfamiliar, so she oped it. Her eyes widened slowly at every sentence. She had won a trip to an island Paradise. Smiling, put all the mail on the coffee table, and ran around packing. this was the most exciting thing that had ever happened to her. When she had finish, she let out a long breath. Then, calling a cab to the airport, she excitedly left. Smiling widely, she walked downstairs. "I... I won a contest!" She said to them. They clapped, and told her to have fun, slightly surprised she talked. Darcy got into her cab, and went to the airport.
