Mark was not overly surprised that there was no plan. It really didn't matter anymore. They were dead. Despair crept up on Mark and threaten to devour him before the creature or the fire ever could.
"How about we start with where we think the girl might be and how we are supposed to save her before the fire gets us? Or let's just start with where do we think we will find the girl?" Mark was annoyed. He wanted to put out the fire, hide from the creature or just let it all consume him. Chasing down the girl was the last thing he wanted to do when his way of life, the order and his brothers were all gone.
