Masahiro reached one arm out, brushing back the hair that hung into Akihiko's face.
"Is something wrong?" he asked quietly, without even the slightest hint of genuine concern in his voice. "You shouldn't be home so early. It's barely lunch time."

Akane was hurrying to get back to her desk with her lunch. She wasn't looking. She didn't see the girl until it was too late. She yelped as she ran into Taki, stumbling back and falling to the floor. Her lunch flew everywhere, but she didn't much care. She looked up at Taki, her eyes huge.
"I'm so sorry!" she cried. "I didn't see you! I was in a rush! I'm so- are you eating alone?" Akane's apologies broke off suddenly as she realized that no one was with Taki. Didn't the girl have someone to eat with...?
