Emmalee couldn't remember how she got there. She remembered the plane crash and everything, but how she got in the water was news to her. The last thing she could remember was thinking, Maybe there will be some cute guys at the beach, and changing into her bathing suit before walking down and laying in the sand, but now all she could think about was how her arms were flailing around and her feet couldn't touch the bottom of the ocean.

She could slowly feel herself sinking through the salty water. She remembered that humans were less dense than ocean water, and tried to calm down and float, but it wasn't working as she hoped. So she started panicking. She was gasping for air and struggling to keep herself up. She was never good at swimming, in fact she was scared of water. She knew that she wouldn't have gotten into the water on her own. Maybe it was the tide? She knew that the tide could get pretty high in certain places in the world, depending on Earth's axis and the placement of the moon. She must have fallen asleep.

Now she was starting to lose hope. She couldn't scream. She couldn't swim. Was this the end?
