Aven West woke up groggily on a chair. He was in an apartment building just north of where he worked. Aven could tell. He yelled, "Where the hell am I?!?!"

A tall caucasian man walked in, and sat on a chair. The man stared at Aven, obviously seeing fear in his eyes. Another man walked in, the short asian one from before. He took out a knife from his pocket and walked to Aven. He slit his throat, but seconds later the cut is healed. The caucasian man said, "He must be a regen."

"You just get that?" the asian one said, nearly about to hit the caucasian for being so stupid. But he controlled himself.

"You know, we're going to have to take him to the Company or whatever so he can be interrogated," the caucasian said, "And... And we can rest."

Aven looked at them, clearly confused. He started to work trying to get his hands untied, but failed. The asian went to Aven and stabbed him in the stomach. He felt the pain, like when his throat was cut. The caucasian jumped up and jogged into one of the rooms. The asian took out the knife and cleaned the blade. The caucasian walked out with a silenced pistol. He shot Aven four times in the chest, and two in the head. Seconds later the bullets popped out, and the wounds healed. "Knock him out again?" the asian asked.

"Sure, go ahead," the caucasian said, clearly in charge, "Wish Michael's here. He could just teleport us out there."

The asian walked in the same room the caucasian walked out of. He came out with a taser, and shot Aven with it. But Aven rocked his chair and fell over. "Damn," the asian said, "Kayne, why don't you do it?"

Kayne, so that's the caucasian man's name, Aven thought.

Kayne said, "Lloyd, who has the gun with two bullets left?"

Aven thought, So that's your name, Lloyd. You two are on my bad list.

Lloyd walked to Aven, and stuck the taser near his head. "Hope this hurts," Lloyd said, it was the last thing Aven heard before getting knocked out.
