"I'm alright." Talon nodded to Alaric in confirmation. He noticed the poor guy looked just as shaken up as the little girl he rescued. "How about yourself?"

He realized the girl must be just as confused and terrified as the rest of them; the expression on her face when she asked for water was not a hair short of heartbreaking. The voice came back, but he didn't listen to it. Talon sat down by the girl and wrapped an arm around her. "We don't have any water, the best thing you can do is not talk. Just keep swallowing your spit." His eyes went to the other woman, still injured on the ground. He noticed the woman who went with him was gone. One look at Alaric confirmed his fear.
Failure. The word burned in the back of his skull from that soundless voice, followed by a stinging pain. You FAILED to PROTECT THEM! Followed by intense soreness in his back, right were his tattoo was. If he wasn't already sitting, Talon would be brought to his knees from the pain.
In effort to ease himself, he ran a hand through the young girl's hair and offered her a smile. Then he turned back to Alaric.

"We need to find some water. Or find someone who knows were some water is. I can carry her if she doesn't wake up." He pointed with his eyes to the woman on the floor. He wasn't sure how moving would affect her, but he couldn't just let her potentially die right there.
