Despite how much I knew Brandon hated me saying it as I turned the music down (he had yet to successfully get me to turn it off), I looked over and said, "Brandon, settle down. I'm as confused as you are, but losing our heads over this isn't going to help or give any answers. I'm as confused as you are, but losing our heads over this isn't going to help or give any answers.
Of course nothing was going to be simple. I had long accepted the fact. I just have different ways of coping than Brandon. Much different ways. I didn't know if Brandon right there was raging at me or not about me saying "Settle down." But right there I didn't care. Yes. We had a situation. How long could we keep Layne a secret? Would Layne cooperate, or even care?
Well.....so far he seemed content with the hospitality. That was a plus. I twirled the semi-opened can of Tuna in my hand. Brandon's cat was sniffing my hand. I was tempted to throw her a tiny piece as I had done with my cats back home, but stood up. "Right now, he seems content with our hospitality. That's always a plus. Let's play it as we see it. So far we're the only ones who know he's even here. Hell, we barely even know the other tenants here. They haven't bothered us. So I'm not too worried about the,. The Landlord hasn't bothered us before.....and he doesn't really have a right to enter our room I'd say, so.....there's that for you. Let's...."
There was a reason Layne was here. But that reason was a mystery to Travis. "I don't know why he's here, but there's gotta be a reason. Let's just keep our eyes and ears open." Travis said. He just felt something had to be out of place...

Godzilla looked around. He had been in the city about ten minutes. Most of the ground civilians had managed to escape his wrath, but he didn't care. The news choppers above him shined lights on him as he stomped through town. A nearby building collapsed. Wherever he stepped, a large hole remained.
He turned the corner. Hundreds of men were running at him, guns blazzing. Tanks and rockets were also firing at him. Godzilla could not deny that he admired their valor, but their weaponry was useless. Their small guns that shot the mini projectiles simply bounced off his skin. They almost tickled him. The tanks packed more firepower, but still were next to nothing. The most annoying weapons he commonly faced were missiles. They were powerful enough for him to feel, and sometimes on rare occasion, pierced his hide. But he was suprior to them. And they had to know this. He roared......and...

"For those of you just joining us, we are about to go live to Tokyo, which is currently under attack, by an unidentified creature. Now we should let our viewers know, that a lot of people have started to calling this creature, Godzilla, the famous monster from Japanese filmography. We have reports that he behaves and acts, exactly the same, but....oh MY GOD!
"Is there a chance we could see that again, this monster just unleashed....some kind of blue fire attack on some tanks, attacking him! Oh my God! He appears unslowed by military attacks..."

Snake sat on the plane. They were currently over the Atlantic Ocean. People gave him strange looks but he ignored them. Some gave him concerned looks, maybe because of his appearance. The eye patch, the bandana, nevermind. A man close by had a newspaper, and looked done. "Pardon me sir, may I please see the paper, if you are done?"
The man looked at him, and handed him the paper, "Go ahead, I'm done with it."
Snake looked. The paper was in color photo! What was this? The paper was also smaller than papers he was used to, and the spacing was atrocious! There were only three stories being talked about on the front page. What was this? He looked at the date.

2011? He was in the future! But how?
He kept calm. Causing a ruckus was not going to help him anywhere...the only thing he could do was wait for the plane to land, then look for answers....
