Irritation. Was that the feeling? Esme gritted her teeth at the new boy's moody behavior. Getting along with these two seemed as if it would be impossible. No, more than impossible. She felt threatened by their presences if anything. Yet at this point it wasn't fair to judge either of them. They were both adjusting to the new environment and probably weren't completely back to themselves. Neither was she, so she had no right to be pointing fingers at good and evil.

The girl was ripped from her thoughts as the TV flashed on and the message was conveyed.

"Welcome to school young Reapers. I am you Headmaster Death. Today you may be wondering why you are here. Nothing more then the fact that you were chosen by the Death Weapons. You may have founs them on your bed. They are all specific to you souls wave link, which you will understand more of in later time. Your job here will be to collect souls, some human, some...not. Today will be easy, starting tomorrow you begon training and class, your first class will be, Soul Link. Be awake wide and early."

As soon as the screen blackened, Esme turned from it. Something about the elder frightened her in a way she couldn't explain. He wasn't threatening or rude. It was more of the part of him that she couldn't see, that dark side he was definitely concealing in his polite manner. She blinked when the boy she'd tripped hurried over to one of the mounted mirrors. While she was unable to see the reflection and whatever he was looking at, she could tell he was in pain. For several moments she stood watching him, unsure what to do to help. It didn't seem like a normal pain, whatever it was. Only when the boy grinned did she take the opportunity to cross the room and pause beside him.

"I don't believe we ever got to introduce ourselves," she said, sea-green gaze cast elsewhere in the room as if she wasn't sure how to put her emotions into words. "I'm Esme. You..?"
