After Isis was finished with her apprenticeship for the day, she was about to leave Ruto to start on the other chores. She was stopped and given some rupees. She was asked to go to Hyrule Market. There were some items that Ruto wanted and she also wanted Isis to see the rest of Hyrule for herself. Isis was told how long it would take to get there on foot, and was told not to worry about it because her cuckoos would be taken care of in the mean time. Isis was then handed a staff. she was told that this staff was a weapon to protect herself and that the edges on the top part were sharp like the blade of an ax. Isis had learned how to fight with a staff and a knife, but she'd never owned her own staff. She did have her own knife though. She went back to her hut to get ready.

After packing some dried fruits for herself, Isis started her journey. She took her weapons and left the Zoras to get to Hyrule market.
