The girl Salem was dancing with was getting a bit closer than he had expected. He didn't exactly hate it, but he wished he would've been warned. She was not getting out of hand, they were just... close. She would look up at Salem every now and then and smile, and then look back down, probably to make sure she didn't step on his feet or anything.

Serenade finished her second song and the crowd cheered. Salem smiled and cheered along with them. When everyone settled down she began to play her lullaby. The girl wrapped her arms around Salem and began to sway back and forth. Her head only came up to his chest. He laughed and put his arms loosly around her. Before long the crowd had begun to disperse and the girl he was dancing with had stopped moving. Salem looked down and to his surprise she had fallen asleep. He didn't even realize he was supporting all of her weight. He sighed and picked her up. Serenade stepped down and thanked the audience.

She waved to Salem as she left. Salem put the girl over his shoulder in a sort of firemans carry and waved back. He would have liked to walk her home, but he had more pressing matters to attend to. He returned the girl to a more comfortable carrying position and began to walk home. The girl had neglected to tell him her name so he had no idea who she was or where she lived, so he decided to just take her to his house.

He finally, after about ten minutes of walking, arrived at his house. He pushed open the door with his shoulder and walked in. He layed the girl on his couch and draped a blanket over her. He made his way to his bedroom and kicked off his boots. He lied in his bed and, before he had a chance to think, fell asleep.
