Mayor Montgomery paced back and forth, his dress shoes clicking and clacking on the tile of his office. Despite being dressed up to the 't', the mayor looked like he'd been hit by a truck somewhat recently. His usually gelled and combed over hair sticking up in various odd places, dark circles hung beneath his glassy brown eyes, and his overall posture appeared fatigued. The results of many a sleepless nights as he watched his beloved city go to hell. He had only been trying to save it, create vigilante Heroes to protect it, and make it safe for the citizens of Chesterville - but his plan had gone nothing but awry. "Lisa!" He called out to his secretary sounding more desperate than angry. "Where the hell is that Scientist?" He continued, lifting a hand to brush stray strands of his salt and pepper colored hair. "Where are the Heroes.." He muttered quieter now, his pacing came to a temporary halt as he peered out the large window of his office that overlooked the town center. He reminisced for a moment, a wave of nostalgia washing over his chubby frame as he remembered the better, brighter days of Chesterville. "Sir, I'm sure they will all be here. It's still only half past nine." Lisa's voice broke him out of his thoughtful shell and he gave her a half-hearted grunt in response. /What ever happened to showing up a half hour early, hm?/ He thought as his pacing resumed. In a half an hour, all of those who had agreed to help the city were suppose to arrive...and that crazy scientist. He couldn't really complain though...they were his only hope.
