Jonathan nodded and watched as Misery walked away to go for her shower. He took his own and Sarah's empty plates through to the kitchen. When he returned, the young boy that he had bandaged up was fast asleep on the chair. He smiled and slowly walked over to Misery's bag and searched through for the blanket. When he pulled it out three pictures and a locket fell onto the floor. He lifted up the locket and opened it up. There was a picture of a man which he assumed was a former lover. He smiled sadly with a tear reaching his eye as the memory came back.

"Go Jonathan! You have to leave! It's already too late for me!" Madelaine looked at the gash on her leg and swallowed.
"I'm not leaving you here Maddie...I can't..."
"You have too! Please...I don't want you to see this...please. Go. Ple-" The words were cut off by a banging at the door.
"I'm not leaving!"
"Yes you are! They are already here...please, just go..." She picked up the grenade beside her it up.
"GET OUT!" With a push from Maddie Jonathan was sent flying out of the open window on to the soft grass below. A bang followed and he ran. He turned in time to see the room exploded.

He put the locket back in the bag and sighed.
Damn these walkers...
He looked at the pictures. The older woman and man had mother and father written on the frames. He placed them back in the bag and looked at the last one. When he heard the sound of footsteps he began to put the picture back in, hoping that Misery hadn't seen him looking at them.
