Mya Nayelin - Location: Mansion on Earth (Vermont)

Knock - knock - knockknockknock -

"Dr. Evans!" The dark haired, semi-tall young woman stood in front of the Victorian styled mansion, knocking loudly on the wooden door. "Dr. Evans! Let me in! Dr. Evans!"

From inside, Mya could hear a faint, "I'm coming!" that sounded like it was somewhere from far in the recesses of the home. She frowned. If the doctor was that far away, it would take him at least two minutes to make his way through the enormous house and come to the front door to let her in. The frown deepened. Two minutes was time that would go to waste - time that didn't have to go to waste if she just -

Mya lowered her head to the level of the keyhole and glared at it. In her mind, she could see the lock mechanism floating in her mind. It was surprisingly simple - a plain pin tumbler lock. As Mya stared into open air, the pins pushed up and down until they had aligned themselves in the correct orientation for unlocking.

Still staring into nothingness, Mya twisted the doorknob and pushed. The door opened silently in her hands. Mya blinked and then smiled as she pushed the door open wider and walked into the mansion. She looked around very briefly and then started walking down the hall.

Before she'd gotten too far, a clattering of steps above her head made her stop and look up. A slightly balding man was running down the stairs, looking at the door and muttering something under his breath.

"Dr. Evans," Mya called, turning and walking back down the hall towards the end of the stairs.

The doctor slowed and jerked, twisting to see Mya. His eyes grew wide momentarily, but then narrowed in slight irritation. He walked slowly the rest of the way down the stairs. "Did you really think it was polite to just let yourself into my house, Ms. Nayelin?"

Shrugging, Mya said, "I'm sorry, but I didn't want to waste any time. And no one grades me on politeness." She looked around. "So where's this portal you're going to send us through?"

"It'll be here. I'll contact Calcifer as soon as you all arrive and send you guys through."

"...So," Mya sighed slightly frustrated. "Not everyone's here yet?"

Dr. Evans looked at Mya, a look of slight sympathy. She was definitely eager to go on the mission. "No. Unfortunately not."

"Can't you just send me through? I could get started and -"

"It's too dangerous, Ms. Nayelin." He started to walk down the hall, further into the house. "Come. Let's wait in the parlor."
