Beline promptly ignored Hayato, thanking the girl as she trailed behind her.
Not surprisingly, Hayato followed suit, grumbling under his breath about spies and enemies and God knew what, with a few choice words thrown in here and there.
"Do you want help carrying.." he began once before suddenly becoming aware that she was already far ahead, "Well, I suppose not."
And thus the grumbling resumed.

Once they emerged in a meadow, he called out "Do you need help skinning the deer?" hearing her list her chores out loud. Not that he would permit his little sister to eat a random wild animal that may or may not be poisoned by an unknown stranger who was helping them... and they didn't know why, which made it all that more suspicious in Hayato's eyes.

"Umm... do you mind? We have some fruit... if you want we can use them for dessert... if that's what you have for dessert.." The whole situation of a girl living in a forest alone was new to Beline, and for the life of her she couldn't figure out what such a person's normal diet might consist of. "A-and, I could help you cook if you want... "

"Don't listen to her unless you want an early, painful death." Hayato warned. "If you want any help, I'll be more than glad to help you. She can't cook worth shit."
