Simon looked over his shoulder at Linde and seemed to understand where she was coming from, However what she didn't know is that this was a problem that no amount of surgery or medicine could fix. He opened his medical kit and thumbed around in it for a moment before removing a syringe that was strangely already made and ready. The needle was a three inch long sixteen gauge spike and the pressure seal was filled with what looked to be a strange cocktail of fluids.
He couldn't help it now seeing as there was already speculation of him self medicating in strange ways, But his mental state was slowly deteriorating and this was the only thing he knew that could help.

He lifts the device to the left side of his head and slides the needle in behind his ear, The point making a slight pop sound as it pierces the skin. Despite the speed at which he did this and how hard he stuck himself, He showed not a single grimace of discomfort. He couldn't seeing as he had lost such a luxury some time in the past.
He merely places the device back into his pack before closing it and grabs his rifle slinging it over his shoulder. He begins to walk with a stride behind Linde holding his helmet in his free hand.
