Madame Jaflyn walks up to the new girl, slowly and nods. "Welcome. What is your name? Has Officer Derick brought you here, child?" Her breath is icy, it breathes softly on the 14 year old and she nods slowly, taking in the girl's appearance.
Emily stands at the top of the staircase, glaring down the gloomy hallways and then peering downstairs. Quietly she mumbles to her friends that sat around her, "Another orphan." And her big blue eyes blink down at the younger girl. She was tall for her age, and looked more mature. Madame Jaflyn had announced earlier that we were to treat the girl with care and share fairly with her. When one girl objected, she was beaten by Frin, the master of the Orphanage.
