Master Frin suddenly stopped the beating, and for just a moment Emily's screams subsided. She regained strength in herself, confidence in what she did next. Master Frin lunged away from Emily and gripped the door handle to go beat Negi. In reaction to her promise she had made to Negi, she followed Master Frin with anxiety burning in her lungs. She knew he would kill her, whether on purpose or by accident. She screeched at the top of her lungs, "MADAME JAFLYN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I CAUGHT YOUR HUSBAND CHEATING ON YOU!!!" There was an eerie silence in the orphanage, when suddenly Master Frin grabbed Emily by the throat and slammed her to the ground. "I'm going to kill you, you little interfering fool." Madame Jaflyn bolted up the stairs, her feet bare for she had thrown off her heels to run up the stairs. "What did you say, Emily?" Her eyes were narrowed. Master Frin continued beating Emily. "He's cheating!" Emily coughed and sputtered, trying to remove his hands from her throat. "S-stop!" Emily cried out. "You're choking me!" Madame Jaflyn stood there, conflicted. She looked at her husband and stared at him. "Is this true?" "My dear, you know I've always been faithful to you." His eyes showed truth, even though his dirty, lying hands strangled Emily. "We will talk in the morning, Frin." As she walked down the stairs, Frin let go of Emily and left her to lay silent on the wooden floor as he walked downstairs and followed his wife. All the lights turned off in the orphanage as the Madame and Master yelled, "ALL ORPHANS, LIGHTS OUT!"
