Aaron coughed a little, still trying to catch his breath. Alise laughed, and he glared. "Silly, did you honestly think you could beat me without being out of breath? That was nothing!" She taunted. Of course, that last part was a half-truth; she wasn't as winded, but she was still huffing a little. And they still had a half hour before school. She fiddled with the sabre-case on her back. A member of the school's flag corps, and possibly one of the most dangerous girls he could imagine in a practice ring. His sister specialized in fencing; the only reason she didn't make a team for the school was because of her postition in the band. Aaron on the other hand, prefered using more defensive tactics; a curved sword and a good, strong sheild better suited him. He fought more with the sheild than the blade, simply because of its sheer weight. He could thrust his shoulder forward, and send a man twice his size staggering backward about ten feet, leaving the opponent wide open to an attack, thus using about half of the energy his sister did. The twins usually used this move together, in team "duels." He would set up the opponents, sending them tumbling over each other, while Alise went in behind, dealing swift blows to the back of either head as they scrambled to regain their stances. He was only happy they were only practices and competitions, not real battles. He shivered, thinking how devastating such a thing would be. For both sides; if he or his sister somehow missed, they'd both be open, and would surely die. He shook his head to clear it of the dark images. Think, stupid! Since when would you ever willingly go onto a battle field? It won't happen, so stop thinking about it!
Only one problem; he had that nagging feeling that told him he very well might someday.....
