The sound of the Banshee's approaching was already beginning to mount louder and louder as the others took in there moments. Simon glances about trying to figure the best course of action if and when they do get there, Seeing the crashed phantom he gets an idea.
Sliding his helmet back on he breaks into a run back towards the wreck, Digging up small scoops of dirt with each step. When he reaches the crater in short order he is glad to see that the plasma fires have lessened significantly. So he jumps down into the hole and maneuver around some of the more jagged pieces, Sliding himself snugly under a section of the ship. He lays there below the edge of a narrowly exposed section draws his magnum and waits for what comes.
