She grumbled a curse word or two, closed her eyes, and reluctantly, nodded her head. "Fine, but you have to to a sufficient job, and you have to help me with other chores for as long as you stay in my house. Also, you have to keep yourself a secret from my mother and sister. If they find out I'm harboring a stray man in my room, they'll have my head. Sound reasonable?" She turned and sat down on a block of hay.
