Bonnie turned when she heard a voice behind her, it was Henry Buford from high school. Bonnie smiled "Hello Henry how ya doin, well I say I haven't seen you since I was in high school". He had done a little work for her Paw around that time, and they had talked a little her Mama had invited him to dinner. Some would look down on Bonnie for talking to a colored man with respect, but her daddy had taught her that they lived on the same side of the tracks as the Negro's so we had no reason to treat them like they were lower than them. Besides Henry had always been one of the most respectful young men she had ever met.
