Simon had just started to walk away from the wreckage of the phantom when he noticed Linde bring her new toy down. If it wasn't for him seeing her bail before the crash he would have shown a measure of worry, But she was fine and he resolved to keep his cool.

Finally taking enough of the irritation of his broken vizor, Simon reaches up and removes the offensive section of his helmet. Maybe sometime later he could fine a replacement for that part but at the moment he would have to wait and see if that moment would come to pass. Switching the safety on and slinging his rifle back over his shoulder he strides towards Linde's location.
He walks over the crest of the hill at looks down into the area bathed in shadow, As the night was now well underway on this section of the planet. He looks down towards Linde's general direction and switches his com back on.. "Area clear.. I think its time we leave, My first suggestion is that we let the Captain and Dr Mannison try to reestablish contact with the base while we get on our way too the objective. If we're lucky they might be able to get another transport for extraction but see as its being one of those nights I highly doubt that."
