A series of 'clicks' echoed through Valentine's car.

First came the magazine, sliding firmly into the reciever of his ACR with a satisfying 'thunk'. Then the attachment of the M203 grenade launcher, a quieter, more metallic sound made as he secured it in place. The same sound came as he attached his thermal scope to the top. The thin, light sound of metal on metal as he slid the suppressor on. The heavy, slick sound of a tear gas round being thumbed into the tube of the M203, followed by another clack as the chamber slid closed. Then the heavy 'click-clack' of the bolt being racked.

He looked through the scope; he'd zeroed it beforehand. It was ideal for the low-light conditions he'd be operating in. Resting the ACR on the seat, he pulled out his SIG-Sauer P226 handgun, sliding a magazine in, pulling back on the slide and checking the underbarrel laser sight. Followed by the slide of steel on steel as his KM2000 laser-cut combat knife slid into its sheath.

He checked over his loadout. His armour was securely fastened, his weapons all loaded and ready to go. All that remained was to wait until sundown, and then to launch his assault.
