The girl easily sensed his lightly hurt feelings, and felt a small wave of guilt rise on her cheeks, making them turn into a light shade of cotton-candy pink. Sometimes she could be as dumb as a rock, not paying much mind of how her feelings might affect others, even though this rarely happened. He was just... Well, different. Since the start, since one of the first things he told her was "quickening" her name as if it already wasn't easy enough, he had started on an off side with him, but not one she bothered too much about.
