Bjarki Took a walk around Rome to see how things were faring. it looked like a scene from a war movie. the streets were almost empty except for the priests wielding guns. As he walked along he noticed at the town square there was a public execution he walked closer to view what was going on. '' This heathen dares to question God in these troubling times its people like him Sinners! who brought this on us!.'' The priest yelled out at the crowd who seemed to be on the priests side. ''Fools... Cant they see they need all the fit men possible to survive through this?'' Bjarki thought to himself as he kept on walking. A gunshot was heard ''Poor fuck...'' He thought before being stopped by a local ''Potresti risparmiare qualche soldo?'' The local said in quite a weak voice. Bjarki could hear this person was obviously in bad shape. ''I'm sorry i cant under stand you. i don't speak Italian'' Bjarki replied using basic movements to help explain. The local seemed to explain as he walked off. Bjarki continued then walking around the districts when he heard screaming from another side of the city. followed by gunshots ''God fucking damn don't tell me things are breaking down here... exactly while i'm as far as possible from my ship...'' He thought to himself worried before rushing to investigate. He unsheathed his weapon from its holster on his back to be same. He had attached a bayonet on it for safety. As he walked closer ready for a fight he noticed a gunfight between what seemed as some sorts of street gang and the priests. It appears the gang was attempting to flee the city even though it was in lock down.''God damn they don't know how bad it is out there...'' He thought before sheathing his weapon back and heading back to town. ''Best get some supplies so i wont have any need to leave the ship the next few days.''

He entered a small grocery store and picked out some food he thought could last for a while. He ended up buying ten cans of baked beans to cook. And then he headed to a gas station to see if he couldn't get some fuel for the ship incase he runs out. As he reached the gas station it appears that the dispute at the gate had not ended. seeing gunshots and screaming could still be heard. if anything it was getting worse. He bought some gas with the last of his funds ''Typical human stupidity still using currency even though the worlds going to shit'' He thought to himself as he barely managed to walk with the weight of all of his supplies. A man in a pickup driving could see his problem and stopped his vehicle and asked Bjarki something in Italian. ''Sorry man i can't speak your language'' Bjarki said trying to explain. The man spoke back'' Oh American?'' in a Italian accent making him barely understandable. The man was dark haired chubby with a thick beard. '' Nah i'm Icelandic. You speak English?'' Bjarki asked the strange man before stopping completly. ''Yes i had to learn English. my father was a businessman who often took trips to England. Do you need a ride somewhere?'' The man spoke in a quite high pitched voice compared to the people Bjarki usually spoke to. ''Yeah that would be nice. could you drop me off at the docks?'' He asked before getting into the car. ''Yeah no problem'' The man replied before driving off in the direction of the docks. During the trip Bjarki learned the man's name was Augustus his parents were great enthusiasts of ancient Rome and name him after the first emperor. He also learned that Augustus has a job shipping goods between the remaining Italian cities. Explaining his pickup being pretty well fortified and the shotgun he kept between the two seats. Once at the docks Bjarki hopped off and thanked the man and warned him to make a delivery as soon as possible since his worries for Rome. They said they're farewells knowing they would most likely not meet again. Bjarki got on his ship and put away these new supplies before locking up the entrance once more. He then sat down on a chair on the deck of the ship reading a book and getting some sun while it was up. ''Ugh five days since i left Barcelona. I hope this city holds out a bit longer. not in the mood to travel again...'' He thought to himself as he slowly became drawn to the book. Books were one of the few things that managed to take his mind off the world. something about them just relaxed him.
