Day/Time set: Day 1, LU (6am)
Location set: Academy Room 3
Daller listened to his mission with a vague expression of confusion and curiousity. Wasn't this an interesting thing. As a cook on a naval vessel, it wasn't as if he'd never had to help with shore missions- Far from it. He'd occasionally had to use his knowledge to stop crew from eating poisons or, failing that, from dying from them. But working with entirely alien plants and animals... That was something he'd never quite had to do. At least it was simply for prolonging good supplies- When you lived at sea, that was always important. You couldn't call eating stale hardtack living.
"I will be glad to help, my lord." He waited until the meeting was over to leave, mulling over in his mind how to get it all together. Survival supplies, hm? It will depend on the terrain- Perhaps this Ymber fellow would know. After all, if it was a jungle, you'd need things like pesticides and wire sheets to cover tents, while a desert would need protective gear of an entirely different design. Worse, what if the air itself was poisonous? Perhaps gas masks...
He didn't notice Ymber as he lumbered out, and was brought up short by the noble's sudden words. “Sir Daller Friedal. I am ready.” He looked up, blinking.
"Ah? No 'sir' for me, young lord," he said, judging the lad a noble by his clothes. "Just Friedal, or Daller if you wish. So- Have you gone on such missions as these before?" He spoke slowly, moving along the hall towards the main staircase. "I'm afraid I know little of the terrain we expect to find- Is it of a a tropical kind? A arid place? I know of its famous volcanoes, but I doubt we are expected to land among them." He chuckled deeply. "Burning is usually bad for exploration."
